Another DT project for Blockwallah - this one is a stamped and painted Christmas tree with paperclay ornaments. Although, as I cut out butterflies, it could be for all year round!

I stamped onto paperclay first, then cut out each image twice using pasty cutters. Next step was to paint them using acrylic paint. I then rubbed over with gold paint and threw on glitter while the paint was still wet (the glitter will stick when dry). Finally stick the two layers together with a piece of string in between, to hang them. Alternatively, use hot glue to stick the string to the back of a single layer, then disguise the glue with more acrylic.
I also added fake snow (structure paste) with a palette knife. The fake snow inside the pot is polystyrene beads.
