I was just noodling around with some leftover bits from my DT makes for Imagination Crafts, for their August TV show (in a week or two) and came up with a men's card - always notoriously difficult.
The phrase 'Chaps like Denning' is from a vintage children's book.
Below is a closeup - using more words from the same book to decorate the inside of the card, also a torn strip of paper (part of the leftovers).

As well as the distressed backgrounds with the rose, I also added a second rose, stamped on acetate with permanent ink. I cut this out and layered it on top for sharper detail.
